Re: "Wrongside" - 1967 Right-hand Drive C10
Ok, now I'm curious, any chance you could PM me some pictures of the firewall and how did the do the steering box? I am in the process of applying for the post office, and am thinking of converting one of mine, I know lots of work blah blah. But how cool would it be to have your mail delivered in a c10? Honestly

Great progress on the truck, I'm glad to see it moving along again. The rust on it is epic, I don't honk I've ever seen axle tubes rusted to that degree. I was wondering if the center section is still good, can't new tubes be welded in? I know that can be done on some diffs I'm just not sure about the 12 bolt.

This have slowed a bit whilst I'm saving and searching for parts. Regarding the diff, the centre section was also not worth saving. I wasn't going to trust new axle tubes being welded to it. Unfortunately, I'll need to replace the whole thing |

Just came across this thread. Hope all is going well with the build. Can't wait to see the finished product. Can't imagine the work, frustration, time and money that has gone into this build.

Any progress over that last year? I gotta say you have some very impressive metal working skills, I didn't think there was any hope for that cab. It is still bazaar seeing the steering wheel on that side of the cab

Thanks for the interest. Unfortunately, I've been unemployed for 12 months, so the truck has been put on hold. I did manage to pick up a 12-bolt locally which was great. The cab has had all rust removed, replaced, and is in primer. Still needs a few touch ups before paint, but all the hard stuff is done. Rust is all gone I also just realised I have no photos of it. When I stopped work, I had money saved so I decided to put that into an LS swap on my 67 Impala - that has taken all my time and money. I can't afford two projects without an income, and unfortunately that is still at the shop. A "2 month" job has taken 12. Not cool. Hopefully I won't have to sell it, but if I don't find work soon, that may have to be the case. |

Good to hear from you . Sorry about your circumstance. That 12 bolt looks way better than your original diff.
Wishing you a speedy employment or winning the lotto to finish your projects. I too was consumed by a restoration of a 71 Chevelle convertible. Penchant and bank account DO NOT go hand in hand. Hope things turn around for you Russ. Michael http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1496238535
