If you're talking about the clutch master, yes it is. Unless your particular slave cylinder or hydraulic release bearing requires a different master cylinder.

Re: '67-'72 Power Brake Booster Bracket With Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

What is the price of just a base plate setup without the clutch master and booster relocation? With the booster relocation, do the brake lines need to be rebent or replaced? I have a 71 and I read the holes do not line up so I am trying to get something as bolt-in as possible to save time on my swap. Thanks.

Re: '67-'72 Power Brake Booster Bracket With Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

If you delete the booster mounts and the clutch master the cost would be $147.50 plus $13.65 for shipping.

In moving the master cylinder much closer to the firewall, I would imagine that the brake lines will need to be bent or replaced. That is correct, the '71-'72 boosters are not compatible with any of my booster brackets without modifying the booster bracket. This is why they are not on the list of compatible boosters.

The Wilwood clutch masters went up in price again, so I had to raise my price on this conversion.

Lucked out and found a hydroboost (77 G30), and it bolts right up to your bracket.
Score!!

Got mine installed, took a little more trimming of the firewall bracing than anticipated, but went together and works butter smooth...

I'm surprised you had to trim. Did you order the right year? I guess that bracing is different 67-72 some years.

Yeah, he warned me I might have to due the moving of the fuse box somewhere during the model years.

Re: '67-'72 Power Brake Booster Bracket With Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

The '69-'72 cab is slightly different than the '67-'68 cab which requires moving the clutch master. Consequently there is some inside brace trimming required on the '69-'72 cab

Re: '67-'72 Power Brake Booster Bracket With Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

Hey captain, the action of the linkage forces the piston to go in at a bit of an upward angle. I’ve been reading on these Wilwood girling style masters and they seem to not like being off center. Any thoughts? Anyone else had issues? I’m concerned with sealing and longevity of the part due to the misalignment.

Thanks -Chris

Re: '67-'72 Power Brake Booster Bracket With Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

I am aware of the slight angle issue of the clutch master pushrod. In a perfect world, it should be perfectly straight, but this isn't always possible, especially with a retrofit situation and to be cost effective. Of the couple hundred of these conversions that I have made and sold, I have had only one report of a clutch master failure.

Can this kit be retrofitted to a Squarebody or do you make one for a Squarebody?

Re: '67-'72 Power Brake Booster Bracket With Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

I have no idea if it could be made to retrofit into a square body. No I do not make a hydraulic clutch conversion fro the squarebodies. I see really no need to when all you need are the factory components from a '84-'91 squarebody, which came from the factory with hydraulic clutches.

Re: '67-'72 Power Brake Booster Bracket With Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

Captain,
I'm a dealer for Wilwood so I don't need the master. I also have started my hydro boost swap and mine is bolted directly to the firewall so can I still order the brackets kit and associated pieces for just the hydro conversion in bare steel?

Thanks,
GT

Are you wanting just the linkage, or do you also want the booster bracket without the booster mounts?

I will need the booster bracket with out the booster mounts and the linkage. Like the kit you put together for jlsanborn back in post #11 and #17. I'd want the bracket in bare steel.
