I cut it above the body line about 1 1/8" it will want to curve inward when you weld it! I butt welded it you should weld it 1" at a time and cool it down with air right away this pulling the metal back you may have to hammer & dolly it some! Or if there's no gap you can tig weld it then hammer the weld!

I'm sure you've figured out were using everything off of the C6? Well with the fab work coming to an end we now get the task of laying out the factory wiring harnesses! Now the fun begins...

I started welding the tail skin & license plate box in today just waiting on the exhaust tips and some minor details & the bed is off to get blasted and start the body work!

Were finishing up some detail work on the bed I recessed the side markers and I'm double checking the trim fitment it's about ready to blast!
