"A 235 six and 3 speed overdrive because he didn't think the new V8 would be very good - ha ha."
Not to jump into Bam's thread, but Dan, that was a pretty common thought back in 1955 when the V8 came out. |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Not really much to report but I did get to do a little this weekend. I welded up all the interior seams and grind them smooth to give it that smooth and finished look that was lacking from the factory. I got it in primer and now it needs to be blocked sanded. I'm happy with the look so far. It was a lot of work but I've been told many times that the devil is in the details.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Thanks man.
Most people will not notice it at all.lol But I did and seeing all those seams would have bothered me if I did not smooth them. So out came the welder, grinder, and filler.lol I was going to have my upholstery hide the seams and then after going to many shows I liked the trucks that kept most of the metal showing the most. The full upholstery trucks looked overdone for my taste so I smoothed every thing and I think I will like this better, plus its less expensive.lol Last edited by Kabwe; 05-22-2013 at 01:37 PM. |

Right on kind of "six of one and half a dozen of the other" but totally awesome regardless!

Just my once a month starting mess. That looks great Bam. You tend to find the details most of us miss or dont think about until we see your post. then it becomes a great idea. |
