No I was trying to take pictures of a pickup that we were looking at out in a snowstorm and accidently clicked a picture. So I figured that's a random picture and I took it.

We did buy the pickup for my daughter: 2002 Duramax. It got her all the way back to Michigan so it must be sort of okay

very cool and thank you for the follow up info!

first thing that came to my mind was picking up stuff that gets dropped over the side

I've sailed around a good part of the world, even parts of Canada but never even heard of such a drastic tide change..

now I'll have to share this with my kids

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

My neighbor has a Smart Car. It's not silver, IT'S PINK! She painted it pink.

I told her that she would have to hold a gun to my head to get me to ride in that stupid looking thing. I would rather walk.

She laughed and said that her boyfriend said the same thing. But he doesn't borrow her car anymore. I guess that's a "Smart" idea.

Get in between a couple tractor trailers out on the highway and you will be swept up, one of the most unsafe cars out there

At the far western end of Maryland is Red House, where two federal hiways cross same as they did before interstates. US50 and US219. The third picture I didn't take but it is US50 at Ocean City, MD at the far eastern end of Maryland. It travels straight through Washington, DC and comes out in Virginia. Then into West Virginia till it crosses the extreme SW tip of Maryland

It was quite a busy little city back then. It had a store, gas pump, and post office

There was the guy that owned the place, his elderly parents, the four of us, and another young couple with kids (he worked on a nearby ranch). The trailer we rented was right next to the crick

Lonely = relaxation to me. We love Hwy 50. Some of my best bike camping trips have been in the desert. Austin & Eureka are great little towns. Gotta run 50 if you want to see the "famous" shoe tree!

Never been to Nevada (just flew over it). I've been watching a bunch of YT videos and there's lots of interesting remote places to see.

In a land the Spanish once had called "the northern mystery"
Rivers run and disappear, the mustang still lives free

Funny I’ve been on both stretches, the one you speak and the one Tim speaks. The Virginia section of 50 is by all means my old stomping grounds.

Yeah, the Gunnison/Tomichi valley is not all that far from where you are now. Funny, my daughter is at this moment in the process of moving to a childhood friend's place off 50 a little bit east of Parlin (but in Saguache County). Her friend's husband was born the same day, same hospital as our twins, but we didn't know that family. Her friend basically lived right across the street from us in town for a while

We need to go down to Monte Vista for a task someday soon. That's almost right over the hill from you

I've made the left hand turn from US 50 onto US 219 heading north at Red House MD a few times. It's been on my preferred route the few times I've gone to Carlisle/Hershey.

If I wasn't on a "ranch" (60 acres can hardly be called a ranch) in Montana, the I would probably be on a sailboat in the middle of the ocean.
