Re: My 52 GMC Build
Had a great time camping with my boys last weekend. Truck ran great pulling the trailer for our 160mi round trip, and only 1/2 tank of fuel. On Sunday morning there is a fundraiser car show, about 200. They also serve breakfast for 650ppl. Lot's of very nice rides. It is more of a spit and polish type of show, so I was blown away when I won 2nd overall. The purple '56 took first.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Also picked up this hood ornamint this past weekend not sure if it is going on my truck tho.
Tonight I went and picked up a spare 7.3L, if I need the motor or just some parts it was a good deal. The little man came to help, guess it was hard work.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Hey, nice score on the engine and cool ornament! If I remember correctly, that is a 92 on up engine since it has the serpentine belt set up. It looks like it has a ZF5 hooked to it too. I have had really good luck with those things.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Nice score on the engine. I would just throw a fresh set of sparkplugs in there and run it like it is.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
So last weekend my youngest son, gf and dog pulled the trailer to Jalopy Jam up. It's a pre 64 traditional hot rod and custom weekend show. The weather wasn't great but we had a blast, live bands and you can shoot flames or rev the crap out your engine if you want. Nothing like hearing a blown big block with open headers at 6000rpm. Oh and lots of beautiful cars and trucks.
My son felt like a gangster in the old F*@d that was driven 2 hours to the show.
