Hey new to the site. Had this beauty for a month or so. Came from
Colorado now residing in Western NY

Could those frame markings be original?

Love looking at all the rides in here, too clean for me. Going for something a little bit different

Hi,
This truck has a Jaguar XJ6 Independant front suspension and crossmember fitted. Not too sure of the total drop because it was already fitted when I bought it although I have lowered it some more.
Not too sure on the total amount of drop on the rear end but it has about 2" between axle and chassis/frame

Wheels are 8" X 15" Steels

Cheers

Rich

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

A couple of old pics I found.

First pic is my old 72 GMC swb, and my dad's 69 4x4 swb (both trucks were 307's w/ 3-on-the-tree).

Second pic is my old 72 rollin down I-40 after the Rod-Run prob. around 2001.

I would give anything to have that ol 72 back, it was my first vehicle my dad bought for me when I was 15 in 1996. I sold this truck in 2001 to get a 89 Z-71 stepside if you can belive that. When I got the 72 it had been sitting in a garage for years, still had the orig. paint w/ 87k miles on it. I miss it and would be the only thing I would trade my 87 swb for.

Really cool!

Many of you may have already seen this but I just stumbled across this great website that has some of the old brochures for our trucks!

Thanks, the roll pan is fiberglass, the bed of the truck is steel, with a liner. I can get you pictures of the roll pan. This gal has a few blisters and chips in the SMC,
sportside f-glass. The blisters (right behind the drivers door above the front step) bother me the most-maybe 5 or 6 no bigger than 3/4 inch. A few scratches...nothing big.The performance with the
350,turbo AT,performance cam, and positraction is a real joyride.

I've had the truck less than a week. Now I look back over the true
restorations and wish I'd gone that direction. There are some really well done trucks on here.I found this site AFTER I bought.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to the super chevy show in Commerce in 2 weeks and I hope to pick up a roll pan there (probably fiberglass). Don't worry about the buyer's remorse. It will go away soon. Anyway it's a good reason to buy another truck to "restore".
