Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info
That's a good price, you did good.
The first pic shows where the line runs into the cab. It's to the right of the box (looking at the firewall) that the evaporator is in. It is a solid plastic line, not a rubber vacuum line (on mine anyhow). The second pic just shows the three different vacuum lines: yellow is from the "tee" and runs to the inside of the cab, light blue is from the vacuum port on the intake manifold, and green is to the vacuum canister on the drivers side.

Hummer, yuk! LOL, I like that bolt-on tracks though. There are a couple rigs where we snowmobile that use those - an older Wagoneer and a Burb. I prefer our Thiokol at the sheriffs dept.
Did I mention how nice it is to have A/C again???

On another note, for some reason I've been imagining what Fred would look like wearing a pair of round eyeballs.......

That's been put on the back burner for a winter project. I don't want any down time, 'cause I want to drive it this summer!
Then again, it was 79°-80° yesterday, and I drove home with the A/C on, loving it! Woke up this morning to this :

Yeah, the track setup is a sweet deal. I've seen them in action, and they work awesome! I can't remember where, it might be Jackson Hole, WY.... but the is a fire department that has a set they put on one of their ambulances in the winter.

5" of snow at 6am, all of it melted off by noon. And it was sunny and nice the rest of the day, mid 50's. Only now the wind is blowing. I hate wind! I would go nuts with no snow.

Wyoming blows, and Nebraska sucks, and here in Colorado we are caught in the middle!

Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info
nice plate,,, I want to get me a personalized plate but still working out the last few a/c bugs...
Bob I installed the a/c hoses coming out of the evaporator ,but the bottom hose going to the condensor, fitting is tightened, the hose-fitting combination seems to "move around" at the evaporator end,,, I think maybe just maybe, it broke some how when the swap was done, the guy that did my a/c lines said, I could take off the evaporator and he could weld another end to it, or I could just buy another evaporator for around the 150.00 mark.... what do you guys think? should I tried to get it fix, or should I just spend the cash be on the safeside and buy the new one? thanks for the input......
