Re: My Facetruck thread.
me too, or should I say $300
I put it back for safe keeping, some day I might actually remember what it was for Mrs. Bee saved my outgoing payment from the fourth day of our local deluge [I thought was ending yesterday] so it went in the blue box today speaking of which, I noticed my kid's beach buckets were left out from last weekend's casting practice with his new kastking baitcaster and full of water.. 8 1/4 inches worth and still goin' when I left for work that ain't what I'm paying these ridiculous property taxes for

Re: My Facetruck thread.
so, Jack recalled his stainless cups that came with gentleman gift boxes, limit 2 per household..
seems there's an issue with sharp edges or something and they're asking purchasers to throw them away.. Mrs. Bee informs them that we have bought many of those and even after giving them away, still had several.. Jack replied as a gentleman, sent an even case of etched low ball rocks glasses

Re: My Facetruck thread.
My mother turned 92 last Thursday and has been in Hospice most of the week. She ain't doin' good but they will send her home tomorrow. We found out Medicare won't pay for your final days in hospice. Luckily she can afford full time care at home.
Man she is a fighter. She was diagnosed with Lymphoma 20 years ago, went through treatment and is still going. 95-100 % blockage in her arteries is getting her down now.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Dale, it makes me so happy to see your truck going back together, and to know you have friends like that.
If a man is measured by his friends, you must be one hell of a guy.

Killer, I wondered how much of nothing you had left.
What happened to all the perfect weather I have always heard about out there? I come out and can't see for the smoke, and now you can't move for the mud.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Good morning Larry. Our moms are both in the same shape and mine was in the hospital again last week too. 5th time since july. Mine has major blockages too and is no candidate for stints and refused open heart surgery. She’ll be 88 in march. We had a good day together saturday before last going through dad’s tools and stuff. I drove Ms Louise down to her favorite bbq place and she really seemed to enjoy that. Like me she loves bbq. And she loves her 91 chevy sportside truck. Of course we took it. It was a good day with mom.
The next monday she blacked out in the kitchen then fell hitting her her head on the fridge door lower hinge plate. Layed her head open. She woke up in a pool of blood and was able to call my sis as she keeps a cell phone in her pocket. She has hospice come in twice a week and that woman arrived as the ambulance was pulling away. I know you and your sister live on pins n needles waiting for THE phone call too.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Thanks Dale.
Like yours, I hope to get mine just drivable soon. I'm not going to hold it up waiting for new paint. It most likely won't get painted as long as I have it. I'm ok with that too. I drove my first truck 10 yrs in medium gray primer and actually got compliments on it too.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
That's where I'm at with my '67 project too. I want to do the body and paint, but not until I have a shop to do it in. That's not happening on this property and I'm still here. Since it won't be sitting in a shop or garage to protect it I won't leave it in primer. But because I won't be finessing the body and fresh paint over less than prepped body is not to my liking, I plan to shoot it in Hot Rod Flatz Red Oxide, so it will look primed (primed in that now) but be painted. I'll be rolling with the rough 'n' ready look. If and when one day I get to refining it's minor sheet metal issues, I will have a good base to scuff and shoot all shiny pretty. I do plan to finish paint the inside of the cab & doors. I want to drive that thing!

Well as long as you are medicating with quality product its perfectly fine Dale. No cheap stuff. And in moderation. Of course.
