Re: The Project formerly known as "E.P." now known as Bruise N' Cruise

i know the feeling. on stevesnovasite.com there's a guy building a turbo 250 for his nova. i've been tempted to do the twin turbo 350 but shy away for the same reason. no one near me that can guide me. i just might do it one day. take the plunge and go EFI with turbo.

Thank you for the kind words, I finally have it on the road as my daily driver, tagged, insured, and in good working order. It feels great to be driving it now. Have a cool antique license plate as well that's on it too. I'll have to post some updates and such here soon.

no kids yet, but she'd kill me if i told her "let's go for a drive" and wind up in a desolate place. she didn't dig it when we went to kennedy space center and i decided i'd save the $5 tolls taking the hwy through christmas and all... i'm still hearing about it 5 yrs later...

I'm confused. Jvsapp.... why's your wife scared of small towns? lol.
I'd be more afraid driving through a west side intercity.
Dylan, how long till you drive around and take cool scenic truck pics?

my wife's 3/4 Hawaiian and alot of times gets confused as Mexican. people treated her funny so she has a preconceived notion about small town folk... one time we went driving outside the Disney area and people looked at us funny. I'm 1/2 Japanese myself so i get some looks, but mostly because they don't know what to make of me... to large to be a Japanese guy. me personally i adapt, blend in like a chameleon. but she chooses not to. oh well... maybe if the powertour heads that route i can come visit one day.

Re: The Project formerly known as "E.P." now known as Bruise N' Cruise

Thankyou, they do look really good on there, I just need some larger tires. The ones I have on now are too small but they've got less than 200 miles on them and I can't justify buying new tires just to put those to the side when they work. I have more important things to buy like a 115.00 calculator for my college math class and 700.00 worth of books. Haha, college is killing me so far, thank god for scholarships.

The thing to realize is you're young. Keep this momentum going forward w/all of your tasks in life & you'll be that "someone that knows what they're doing" for some young gun in the future.

I knew nothing when I started. My dad was good w/household type stuff (carpentry, etc) but no mechanical amibition for the vehicles. That meant I started out a little worse than you. But, I am a gear-head & just kept reading, learning, & trying (& doing it over). It's been almost 3 decades since my first truck (64swb, 327/4spd). After all these years, I'm pretty comfortable w/most basic & intermediate aspects of 60-70's GM trucks & muscle-cars. I know when to leave some things for the pro's & my experiences are my education.

I would be extremely proud to have off-spring that had a hint of your devotion & ambition toward your truck. You deserve an 'atta-boy'!

Excellent job man, I'm really glad to see you got 'er slapped together and are enjoying her - the way they were intended to be!

And I know exactey what you mean about college. I'm in my 4th year, and it's a helluva ride. Financially, I've lucked out, and still had enough money to play with my vehicles. Keep at 'er, and best of luck.

If you didn't mention before, what're you majoring in?

I'm majoring in Psychology, but I might change it. I'm also looking at doing something in the medical field, possibly a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Major props my friend.
