I returned 2 caps. 1 had dents and the other had some blemishes in the chrome. They are fixing them and I should have them back in a week.

Re: Project Blue Goose

Sorry if I missed it, but what are you doing for wheels? And would you recommend that chrome shop? Sounds like they only got two out of the four caps right.

Re: Project Blue Goose

I am going to run 15" steel wheels with the original hubcaps. I haven't decide on the color of the wheels yet, either satin black or gloss white. I would probably run painted caps with the black wheels or the chrome caps with the white wheels.

Yeah I had to send 2 caps back but they made it right. I did have to pay to ship the caps back to them. I never had anything chromed before so I am not sure how to rate them. I don't think they are top notch quality but from a short distance they look great. I think at $39 a cap plus shipping (around $20 each way) its wasn't a bad deal. I would give them another try.

I had 5 NOS 67 chrome caps that I sold on Ebay for a little over $500
The chrome on them had imperfections also they had scratches and small dings.

I received a quote from Paul's Chrome which is close to Pittsburgh that would spin your head right off

Hey guys thanks for thinking about my truck I assembled the frame shortly after I received all of the parts back from powder coating. There's not much to look at but I'll take some pics. I need to buy some PB front control arms and to get the rear end rebuilt. So I need to spend about $2500 to finish up the frame

I regret ripping this truck apart But I did buy a new GMC Sierra

Looking good. Bout time for an update though....

Funny how you start out with a simple idea and then it just ends up further, and further, and FURTHER apart....
