Re: Post Your Engine Bay Pics!!!!!!
That is stunning, Matt. Do you have a color code for the silver or any details you could share? Silver is silver, sometimes, but that looks like the most perfect silver I've ever seen.

Re: Post Your Engine Bay Pics!!!!!!
It's actually spray can. It's DupliColor Cast Coat Aluminum engine paint. I was gonna stick with the gray/blue theme my small block had, but it never looked quite right. The engine is all aluminum, and I wanted it to stay looking good, so painting it aluminum color keeps it that way.

Re: Post Your Engine Bay Pics!!!!!!
What is your total cost on the swap if you don't mind my asking? If my 350 ever craps out, I'll be really tempted to drop a Vortec roller in instead of building another old school SB.

Re: Post Your Engine Bay Pics!!!!!!
There is a whole stack of receipts on the dash and some in a drawer at home. I haven't even begun to add all this up. There has been a lot of work done on this truck and I may have went over board on some things but wanted to do it right the first time and not go back and spend more money nothing was half a*****s on this conversion.

Re: Post Your Engine Bay Pics!!!!!!
Just got it out of the exhaust shop getting ready to plumb all liquid lines. The truck does start and run once done I'll try to post a video. This thing runs awesome and sooooo smooth when it's idling.

Re: Post Your Engine Bay Pics!!!!!!
Not quite done but it's getting there. Probably gonna end up doin an LS or big block swap somewhere down the road. This is just a plain ole 350, double hump heads, aluminum intake, mild cam, holley carb. Before, after

Re: Post Your Engine Bay Pics!!!!!!
Does this LS motor use coil packs? I don't know a lot about LS motors but I thought they all used them. I don't seem them in the pic.

Here's a couple better and more recent pics. Engine swap thread is here--> http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=506692 GM makes a distributor conversion kit for LSx engines, though. It mounts in place of the front cover, and has a piece that bolts to the front of the cam with a dist. drive gear and a fuel pump lobe to be able to run a mechanical fuel pump. It uses a SBF dist. Here's a link to a build with a front drive dist. conversion, and also with a front accessory system that will be similar to what I will eventually run. http://ls1tech.com/forums/carbureted...71-camaro.html

Re: Post Your Engine Bay Pics!!!!!!
Yeah, the rad hose is gonna get changed. I think I'm gonna have my buddy at a machine shop make a threaded insert to go into the top of the water pump, then have custom metal tubing made for a custom fit.
