It is really coming together. I'm about on the same progress schedule it looks like lol. Unfortunately I'm in ohio and it is starting to get cold. It sucks.

Awesome build so far man! I'm in Chandler too and just picked up a 68 for my first ever attempt at it. Pretty excited about it! Maybe we can catch up sometime and throw some ideas around.

haven't done much been in a welding and fab school so all my free time is eaten up. But I am blasting the rear and getting it painted up so I can assemble the rear end and get the wheels on her soon.

Let me know when you're ready to start putting it back together. I should be available on the weekends to lend a helping hand if you need it.

That's pretty sweet. That's a skill you will use for years man! One day I'll get some time to do that too. Having a blast learning all about this process though.
I slowed down because I changed my mind about how I want to build it too much, haha so I'm slowing down to put together a plan and then I can move forward at a better inch by inch.

Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....
Fab school is gong well . I fabricated all the coach mounds catchers nets and several other items for the Cubs spring training team. And fixed a lot of issues they had with current equipment fabrication welding design. You just at the score awesome and let me work on these projects they think I'm a pretty good welder even though I didn't really have much experience. been working on a lot of blueprint and fabrication design at this point to test my skill. I've made some pretty cool Metal art actually sold a few pieces. Now I'm working on getting my tig to look perfect

Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....
Well its been a slow ride. Got the new house built on almost 2 acres and have been spending all my free time and money on that. Poor truck has been sitting in the corner crying for attention. I picked up a 67 rear end not to long ago and need to put the gearing in it. Once I can get that in then ill put on the rest of the rear suspension and bags, and order the wheels.

Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....
been a long time coming but here it is finally my rear diff. Tru Trac posi 373 and dutchman axles all like new. Now I have to turn down the axles for the big brake kit because I forgot to have them made do the dimensions to fit the rotors.

Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....
Found a nice factory tailgate today almost in perfect shape for $275 must be my lucky day.
Had the axles turned down quite a bit to make the Mcgaughys brake kit fit out back, kinda scared me since 1/4 inch of the out diameter had to be taken off. But the Guys at Raven Industries who do lots of machine work said it was fine. Ill post up some pics of them once I bold up the rear end in a few days.

Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....
Finally got the rear end back after having the axles machined down. Trailing arms in, lower shock bar in, tracbar in as well I couldn't get the rear bags on because the bolts the came with the kit were like 1/2 inch short.
I will have to repaint the rear and get a better diff cover once the wheels come in.
