Hood & fender emblems

Not sure if this counts, but I repurposed a 1956-58 GMC fender emblem to be a 1960 GMC glovebox door emblem:

This is a really great thread 1963c-10, there are some really great looking emblems for our era trucks.

I know a lot of guys like to "shave" the emblems on their builds but I could not picture my truck without these! I know these emblems are not stock GM issue but since Canadian built trucks did not have the GMC V6 option available & my '62 came with a 283 I thought a small modification was in order. So I customized mine just a bit, does make people wonder however if they are GM issue. To my knowledge I have never seen or heard of anyone else doing the same modification so I think it's safe to say they are one of a kind.

I've been looking for years and never even seen a picture of one other than the assembly book.

Ok Ive got some questions what year is the grille shell in the first picture. and what year is the green painted apache 10 emblem. what year is the smaller chrome apache emblem?

If Chevrolet is not stamped in it its a 1961 grille. Have any extra headlight doors for that grille ?

The green emblem is a 1960, the smaller apache emblem is 61.
