Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
First round of parts cleaned and ready for paint. Not only did my wife let me use the kitchen sink, she even offered to clean it when I was done making a mess of it! Of course, I cleaned up my own mess, but awesome nonetheless

Very nice work! That's pretty cool you could use the sink to clean up the parts. Keep the pictures coming

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
Sure is pretty...put the spark plug wire retainers on before you put the engine in, its really tight against the cowl.
Nice jesture on the wifeys part

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
Thanks guys, and thanks for the info. Will definitely leave those rear retainers back there, as well as a few other choice items. I will likely do a mock-up on the stand just to make sure I know how everything goes back together

Swapped valve covers and did a little painting. That's all for today, there's some football game coming on that my wife wants to watch?

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
Thanks everyone! Dropping the manifolds off for ceramic coating today and will continue detail work on the rest of the parts. Thinking of dropping the tranny/transfer case and re-sealing them while everything is apart--while I'm in there........
