Re: Project Platinum C10
Thanks man, I hadn't decided if I want to keep them yet or not. I thought about keeping 2 and then purchase 2 - 10" and have them powder coated for spares. Not sure yet but I will keep you in mind. Welcome to the thread.

Re: Project Platinum C10
Oh and yes I did cut the bump stops off. They were a bit tricky as they were put on using rivets. Good thing my dad has a big compressor and a rivet buster.

Yeah I love the way it sits. I have been waiting to order the rims until after I have it painted but I am itching to buy them now that I lowered it. lol

Re: Project Platinum C10
I will admit the rims would compliment it really well, but I do love the look of the stock rallies.

Re: Project Platinum C10
I will have to agree with you there buddy! I had 17's on my DD for the longest time and then when I went and threw 20's it just set it off and makes it look like they belong on the car

Re: Project Platinum C10
So the only thing you replaced on the front was the lower control arm and the spring? It looks good. Do you know if the spring still needs to settle, maybe drop you a tiny bit more?

Looks great. Have you drove it much yet? Once the front end settles in the stance will be about perfect

Re: Project Platinum C10
No the front end is out of alignment BAD and I mean bad. I am going to take it to the front end shop this evening so they can work on it tomorrow. Yeah I think the springs will settle on it.

Re: Project Platinum C10
Looks very good!!
What was the over all drop on the front and back? I just completed a drop on the front of mine and it came out to exactly 4". The back is next and I am thinking of doing a flip kit but don't want to go too low. |

Re: Project Platinum C10
I've been doing some thinking here lately and need some help. I really like the look of these trucks when they have the factory emblems, mirrors, grilles and trim. That is actually what draws me to these square bodies. As some of you know I am having that emblem made "Platinum C10" for the tailgate. I am thinking about replacing the side "Scottsdale" emblems with some "Platinum C10" emblems as well. What are your thoughts????

Re: Project Platinum C10
My truck stays parked in the garage most of the time. I'll have to dust it off next week when I get home
