I used a combinaiton of parts. I used 55-59 SS tail light housings. I then added LED inserts and mounted them by modfying the 47-54 brackets. I always felt the 55-59 tail lights better matched the curves of the 47-54 trucks. Now it would be easier. You can just purchse these parts and then modify 47-54 brackets to mount them to the bed http://www.classicparts.com/1956-59-...info/49-130LR/ I have attached a few pics for ya. Marc

Re: 1950 3100 Full Custom **GunMetal**
Thanks guys...its all in the details. Isn't that the saying. Honestly it took me a while befor I was happy with the way the lights/bracket and wire loom turned out. Trial and error you know.

Re: 1950 3100 Full Custom **GunMetal**
I haven't had it out on the road to test but I am going to have about a 6 inch piece of hose from the fuel cell to connect the fill cap so hopefully that wont be a problem. it seems to seal rather tight.

Re: 1950 3100 Full Custom **GunMetal**
Alright small update.! The truck is STILLL in the body shop. but is really coming along now. I was promised no questions asked! February 28th ill be picking the truck up ready to roll.
I have been acquiring parts while I'm waiting.. 1 piece front windshield, NeRelics power window kit, gauges, harness so once I get it back ill have about a week or 2 of steady work to hopefully send it right off to interior! Its taking awhile in the body shop but for good reason. it is coming out better then I could have imagined gaps/fitment/etc. And the last picture is an awesome engine cover I'm currently contemplating and wonder opinions.. it was built by BH customs has anyone every seen them?? |
