You ordered the 227's right?

No worries, I just didn't want you expecting one wheel and end up with aTOTALLY different one.

I love this thing haha. I bought it for a daily and autocross toy. I have had a couple s2000's in the past and it handles almost as well but has the torque to make it so much fun in town. It's a quick little car. |

Re: Project 'Kickin Wing' (No Limits/Hotchkis/PorterBuilt/LS Power)
Nothing really interesting to share, I went to a show this weekend and picked up a bed kit from Southern Kentucky Classics. Managed to get it assembled with the help of my dad. All things considered it went together pretty well. A few holes massaged here and there but nothing major. I got the one without stake holes so it will be nice not having to fill those. Also picked up some front fenders so next up will be aligning doors and getting the fenders and hood fitted. Still waiting on wheels, hope to see them in the coming weeks.
Sorry for the crappy quality pics. |

Awesome man ! I got the same bed. What body mount are you using ? My body lines are off a bit from the cab to the bed and I saw where some people have to shim up the rear of the cab.

I'm using energy poly bushings. It looks as if my cab could be shimmed up a little too.

Passenger door and fender are fitted, looks like a truck now
Pic of how bad the door to fender fitment was initially, not sure if it was the difference in manufacturers or what. After a couple hours with a slide hammer, wood block, and body hammer |

Awesome! Did you mostly work on the fender to get the door and fender lined up?

Re: Project 'Kickin Wing' (No Limits/Hotchkis/PorterBuilt/LS Power)
I actually pulled the door edge out with the slide hammer and hook attachment. It looked like the door edge had 'flattened' in comparison to the fender and cab lines. It needs a few small tweaks but it is pretty close. The driver side is another story, its looking terrible. One thing at a time I guess.

Re: Project 'Kickin Wing' (No Limits/Hotchkis/PorterBuilt/LS Power)
Crappy picture, but i got the driver side started today. Everything lines up pretty well but the window frame. I had to chop it at the joint and will fit it to the opening when i have the door gaps finalized. Getting antsy waiting on wheels, cant wait to see how it is going to look on the ground with the coils adjusted to ride height.

Re: Project 'Kickin Wing' (No Limits/Hotchkis/PorterBuilt/LS Power)
Well bad news, the wheels showed up..
but every single wheel was horribly bent except for one, and it had a ding in the lip. Here is an example of the type of bends we are talking about, each wheel of the 3 has bends like these. I ordered through Tommy at TNT, we are working on a solution now. Not really wanting to wait another 10 weeks for another set. |

Dang man! That stinks. They must have been seriously abused in transit to have whops like that. Sorry dude. I was looking forward to seeing them.

Good luck getting the shipping company to cover them. Had the same issue years ago and UPS said they were not packaged properly, would not take any responsibility!

Re: Project 'Kickin Wing' (No Limits/Hotchkis/PorterBuilt/LS Power)
I am impressed with your work. I am starting a thread here on my 67 step side. Your frame inspired me to find a frame do my own instead of buying a aftermarket frame. Keep up the great work.

Re: Project 'Kickin Wing' (No Limits/Hotchkis/PorterBuilt/LS Power)
No, unfortunately not. I talked to Tommy at TnT Friday and they expect ship them out this week. Fingers crossed. Truck is sitting here with all the sheetmetal fitted, just waiting to test fit wheels and tires before tearing it back down for body work and paint.
