Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
Here's my '72 C20, daily driver, 350, turbo 400. Runs and sounds great, small thumpity-thump cam and flowmasters. It's a 50 foot truck, with some rust starting at the usual places.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
Talk about jaw dropping, I am guessing that one was a parts truck

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
Well, Leftovers is a long term 4wd swap build after Nasty is done. The front clip off dad's shop truck is on nasty, the cab is being used for another restoration, he has the cab from Leftovers going back on the Shop truck frame. So none of them are really parts trucks per say. lol

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
Found this picture yesterday of a truck I've never seen before.. I love it! Anyone know anything about it or know where there are better pics? With the hood on it would be a killer for sure! |

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
Well, I cheated off an episode of Trucks. I painted it black with a paint brush, then rolled it rusty brown(orange and black) with a paint roller. then mixed silver, blue and yellow to get the green and sprayed it. Let it dry between each step, and then went to wet sanding until I got the look I wanted. Then cleared it Flat. I used the premixed duplicolor laquer paints from summit racing or oreilleys auto parts. It is a cool shop project and it has been fairly cheap. The inside is pretty cool also. Its really a fun project with no rules!

If your after a slick high dollar paint job its completely wrong, but its fine for something odd like this.
