Re: 77 to 55 thanksgiving
well, i used a gastank from a s-10, i took off 1 inch from each side of the lower frame rail, made 2 straps, used a piece of angle for the cross mount bar so i did'nt have to move the rear cross member on the frame, it fits verry nice, and only took about and hour, i still have to decide wether im going to cut the upper frame rail to give room for the filler neck, or cap the fill hole on the tank, and make a new fill hole in the center-top of the tank and fillit from the box floor, but i like the idea of filling the truck from the fender, gives me the box to be able to be used.....what do you think?.....max.

Same here. I understand about working on every and everyone's project but your own. Can't wait to see you get back into it.

Re: 77 to 55 thanksgiving
Hey tiggerstoy,
I am wondering about the axle widths of your donor frame. My research tells me that they ought to be about 2 to 4 inches too wide. Do you think you the wheels fit in the fenders well or is it just a little bit too wide? |

Re: 77 to 55 thanksgiving
you are right, but i had planed to have to build wide fenders, or go 4-link with a 4 inch tub, for now, i'll just work the box to look stock, but it will be wider than stock, but it will look the part.......i hope...lol
