Re: Project Blue Goose
No pics but I took the rear-end apart Now I need to powder coat or paint the housing and other miscellaneous parts. I have new 5-lug axles, Eaton Posi unit, 3.73 gears and bearings & seals.

Re: Project Blue Goose
I'm late but congrats on the little guy. I will probably do the exact suspension stuff to mine one day but I want it to be drivable now so I'll have to wait. And I have too much stuff going on to drop the coin on the pb stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing it come together.

The PB stuff is some nice quality stuff. It took me some time to save and buy the parts but I am very pleased that I did it now. But I am chomping at the bit to get this truck back together. Hopefully sooner than later I still can't decide if I want black or white wheels. Black was original to this truck with painted caps but I had a set of caps chromed and I think they would look better with white wheels. But I also have a set of painted caps

Re: Project Blue Goose

Re: Project Blue Goose
Been trying to catch up on everyone here. Congrats on your little one and seems like quite a few of us starting to get fired up about our projects again including myself. My two cents would be the white and chrome especially on a blue truck.

Re: Project Blue Goose
I noticed on one of your original post you show that this has the two-tone inside/outside. Before you dig into the cab alot, can you post some detailed pics of where the color change starts on the door, and possibly cab too?

I dropped of the rearend housing and wheels today for some PC. I'm going gloss white on the wheels. He's gonna match the color from an NOS 67 dog dish cap, its more ivory or off white. Thanks, Nate

Very cool project. Love all the mods you've made to the chassis. Looks like some nice brake too. Subscribed.

Re: Project Blue Goose
Thanks guys. The brakes are Black Wilwood D52's with CPP zinc coated rotors. The rotors casting is really rough where they are not machined, not sure if I would recommend them.

I had to get creative so I could use a jack to install the coils.
