Love your "Shop Truck" ! Great work also!

Hey, check the link to your build thread again, I couldn't log on to it.

I'm working on the forward tilt/ cowl induction hood on mine now.

Thanks Guys

Greene... GM performance recommended 770 cfm Holley to carburate an LS like this.
I called Lunati tech support and discussed what would be the right cam for what I wanted to do. They suggested part # 55006LUN
.560 lift 283 duration
My local Chevy dealer sold me the shallow F-body oil pan and windage tray
Good luck!

This truck is so "Freaky" cruisin' down the the main boulevard an inch off the asphalt, or laid out in front of the local bar and grill. Most people have never seen anything like it except maybe in a magazine. It literally stops traffic and draws crowds where ever it goes.
Thanks again to Jonathan VA72C10, and Nate @ Porterbuilt Street Rods and everyone else who helped me with "La Perica Perrona"...(thats what my crew named her). I love this pickup and look forward to driving it every weekend.

Re: New member new Project

You've built a beautiful truck Rick and you live in a beautiful part of the world, I've enjoyed your build thread very much. I think i'll have to convince my wife that Rocky Point is where we should emigrate to, not Vermont.

Re: New member new Project

If you don't mind my asking, what headers did you use? They look like F-body headers but I can't tell what brand. I bought an ebay set and the drivers side hits the lower control arm. Did you have any issues with yours?

Re: New member new Project

Thanks for the compliments guys

Yes they are Pacesetter headers for late model F-body with LS-1 engine. I got em from Summit, part # psm -72c2256. No issues other than drivers side collector turns in slightly towards frame, but it still works OK. Collectors are well above bottom of frame rails as you can see in pics.

Installed some heavy duty end link bushings for my sway bar

My Goodmark cowl induction hood came in a couple weeks ago, painted it thursday. Drove it to the Malecon for a couple pics this morning.

Re: New member new Project

Nice pics!!
quick question for you Rick,
im thinking of getting an oil pan for my 72, i have the dropmbr and a LQ9
What is the distance from the mounting flange to the ground,
the pan i want is 7.5 inches, and i was wondering if i would be fine with that pan VS the Fbody pan.
thanks
kev

Looks like you will be OK, I get 8 and 3/4 inches from pan mount to ground.

The rest of my polyurethane sway bar bushings came in and got them installed.

Car show last Sunday, no other Chevy pickups there to show you.
