Do you already have a buyer for the old spindles or were you going to post them on the for sale board?

Re: Project: "Home Grown"
Well, I decided over the weekend that I am going to send back the cowl hood, thanks everyone for the input, I was never to fond of it myself, and I already have a solid OE hood.
Anyone have any experience with Goodmark core supports? I think I want to just replace mine rather than spend money blasting it, repairing, and priming. |

Re: Project: "Home Grown"
Yes this is true, but water under the bridge at this point, all my sheet metal parts I don't pay a dime for shipping. Even if I found nice OEM stuff, I would want it blasted again and it would need priming, who knows, maybe next truck, I think its still going to be a hell of a truck, just things are changing, fast, and I have already blew my budget out of this world already.

Re: Project: "Home Grown"
using the term "BUDGET" on one of these truck is about as funny as people that use the term "INVESTED" when they are talking about a car they restored....unless it is something super rare and desirable they didnt INVEST anything !! when i started i thought surely i could do EVERYTHING i wanted for $15,000....well 8 years later and i am still about $7000 away from finishing...and i have spent ALOT more than $15,000 !!! ITS A LABOR OF LOVE !

Re: Project: "Home Grown"
I lived in the suburbs of Detroit for 30+ yrs, before moving back to Missouri, so I know what you mean about rusty parts. We all go thru a period of to much money and time, have to work thru it. The rewards after your done make it worthwhile....Jim
