After everyone read the "circus wagon" articles they all wanted multi-color trucks

Looks like Monday before a truck update but still sourcing parts...

Re: Project#1: Bright Horizons - 68 Swb big block on Air!

Anyone notice the title change???

Yep, he's keeping the big block/th400 that's in the truck. I'm going to paint it a different color combo but the cool factor and value of this truck just went through the roof imho!

Re: Project#1: Bright Horizons - 68 Swb big block on Air!

Can't believe no one's commenting that the truck now will have the big block in it! Will be re_painted a silver color that will look great with the blue...been looking for some cool accesories but leaning towards detailing a stock setup that I have that's been blasted with new lines/etc...

Got in the new power steering pump today and will get that painted up. Got the cab completely stripped minus doors, glass, and the main harness....wires are all loose....just leaving the block in place to keep the cab sealed up...and the seat and steering wheel are just loosely in there...

Yeah, I totally understand - just messing with you. I might be able to meet up with you next Monday if you are going to be around. Still trying to plan out things, but that seems like it is going to be the likely day.

There aint' a BBC out there that don't get my attention! I think it's the right move and in fact, the Boy and I read your post about that and started thinking.....
My big crummy has a pretty snotty 454, which we LOVE rodding on. That one ton 4x4 crew cab still gets a respectable 8mpg loaded, unloaded, towing the boat, don't matter. It's 8 period. The small block I've got visioned for the C10 prolly wouldn't do much better than that anyways!

Looking good man! Can't wait for more pretty stuff!

Johnny

I figured (hoped ) you were messing with me....really do need it running so I can chase down more parts....the "ole" mini van isn't cutting it anymore

Monday should work...let me know as it gets closer and we'll judge it based on weather forecast also...

Re: Project#1: Bright Horizons - 68 Swb big block on Air!

Thanks! Got the new power steering gearbox in today from superflysteiny....gotta decide whether to clear it or paint it a color...and need to find a rag joint for it since it's the nicer later model unit but has a larger shaft for the ragjoint....

I like to paint them 'cast iron'. You get durability with the look of original...
