Hey bud im 16 and just picked up a 68 longbed that needs tons of body work aka dents and stuff but pretty rust free and solid and i want to lower it such as yours but i dont have the skills to do the uca's and lca's so do you think i could get a pretty good drop on just bags?...and whats a good "bag" company i want a full kit such as bags and compressor and air tank and what not i dont want to get to extreme where i need new dropmembers and notches and stuff just some airride...so if you could just let me know a good company and price to pay i would really appreciate it!

Depending on how low you really want to go. It's hard to get really low with just bags. You can tho put bags it the stock locations of your coils. You will get fairly low just not tucking tires. The plus side of having bags in the stock locations is it is the best ride. Everything I recommend for air ride I always go to Jason at avs. For the front you will need the upper spring pocket plates and lower control arm cups. For the rear will basically be the same. If your doing it all on a budget and you just want bags in all 4 corners run them off schrader valves. Carry a compressor or air tank with you. Email Jason and tell him what you will need and he will direct you. Again you will not be able to go super low with out major mods. For the rear I recommend lowering blocks. I made my own because they don't make them 3". You can get 2" blocks and I bolts at carls racing products here's the number. Give them a call and tell them what your needing and they are a great help and very affordable. Make sure you get the hardware.

ok thanks and what would a setup like that run cost wise? because the truck is not worth much in its current state but once i learn bodywork and straighten it up it should be!

Disregard that last post!...so i just need 4 bags and upper spring pocket plates and lca cups and 4 schrader valves?...how do i hook schrader valves up to an airbag?...sorry for all the noob questions im new with all this airride stuff!

I'm old school and love the classic style paint jobs. I already had flames but the scallops are starting to be less common and they show more personality to me

well you certainly named your project accordingly. Your fabrication leaves some serious doubt in my mind as to the safety of your truck. I'm glad your in california and not on the road near me. I don't mean to knock you to hard, I understand you are a younger person and I applaud you for doing your own work. Just fyi, I've built bagged and bodied trucks before, I was also a certified welder and am currently a CWI

Your the asshole that looks at someone's car just to knock there project. Everyone loves people like you, because you make the classic truck industry so much better for everyone. I don't care that you are a certified welder. I am also a certified welder and I built this truck to prove that you can build a bagged truck with cheap and easy materials. Iv been driving my truck every single day for the past three years and have never had a bag failure or weld brake. My fabrication skills are beyond many for my age and I have all the confidence in my welds.if you actually looked at some of the stuff I do like the 62 that I bagged you would see that I do have skills.

Call me what you wish but my fabrication skill can pass yours up anyway. I run a shop bagging cars daily and satisfied customers every time, this truck has nothing to do with my shop other than proving grounds that my fabrication skill hold up with the cheapest of equipment. You probably don't have the confidence to build a truck with the tools I used. So you can go do your own HACk work ya damn troll
