Re: Got it one piece at a time... 51 chev
After many hours and many changes, this is what the rear end of my truck looks like! I want to exit the exhaust out the rear bumper, exhaust is one of the next projects

Re: Got it one piece at a time... 51 chev
Wow that reshaped rear end looks really good. It all has a nice flow to it. I dig the reshaped rear bumper. The fitment on that hitch is sweet. It disappears.
Thanks Marc

Re: Got it one piece at a time... 51 chev
Here is a pic of the gas filler lid I built. I don’t really like a filler in the bed but it was the simplist solution. I thought if it had to be in the bed I wanted something different than ones I’d seen before

Re: Got it one piece at a time... 51 chev
I haven’t been on here in a while but I did actually get my truck done (well almost), and have put about 7k miles on it already. I built a matching teardrop trailer that I pull behind it

Re: Got it one piece at a time... 51 chev
what did you use for tail light housings? did you weld them into the box stake pockets? looks great. love the rear bumper work. the little trailer looks great too, whats in it for amenities?

Re: Got it one piece at a time... 51 chev
The tailights are aftermarket 37 ford led lights. Yes, I welded them into the stake pockets. I made the entire box, including the stake pockets from scratch. The trailer is just a cargo trailer, not a camper. I use it to haul my tools to work so I get to use my truck most days in summer!

Re: Got it one piece at a time... 51 chev
nice job on the metalworking and box build. I like the flat topped sides compared to the angled ones, thats just me though.
you got skills for sure. got another project in mind? |
