Re: Cheap trick patina 70

I agree with you all. This manifold is one of the best bangs for the buck so I can live with the name. I am not willing to grind it off just to make it look smooth. Its not worth the time in my opinion. If I was building a full blown show truck that would be different. My opinion is logos don't make an engine suspension or part on a truck look non clean. I feel what makes these trucks look clean is the textures and the colors. Example my black truck was crazy clean in the engine compartment. I feel it had to do with textures and colors. Just my two cents. That's what makes this board great. I appreciate all of your guys input. We all have out own style so we all win.

Re: Cheap trick patina 70

I figured with the brushed trim plus having to go to 5 on 4.75 this was the way to go

Re: Cheap trick patina 70

I prep with wax and grease remover. Then I tac rag it and I seal it with the black Sems. Then I top coat it with Sems hot rod black. It goes in a gun.

Re: Cheap trick patina 70

Thank you! I was thinking of going 12" out back but after seeing the huge price jump between a 10 and a 12, I'm thinking of going 10" with this kind of backspacing.

Re: Cheap trick patina 70

Ok update. I got all the new trim on the sides of the bed. The bed has been done with line x. I am painting the wood black. And I am undecided on the strips but I have some ideas. Here are some pics.

The bed looks incredible. Plus, really dig the black finish on the wood. You definitely have the touch with these trucks.
