It's running good and I drove it a bit, how time flies.

Re: My winter project
I decided to stay away from welding the door patchs because I'm not much of a welder. I used a panel step tool and adhesive to glue the door patch skins together. I will use a tack weld in a couple of spots when I fold the edges over.

Re: My winter project
Thanks, guys. I thought I would have been a lot further down the road on my metal repair but door repairs have taken me a ton of time. Put doors on then take them off, line this up with that then do it again and again.

Re: My winter project
I found there is a lot of spot welds holding these pieces together. I had to be real careful cutting the welds on the inner wheel lip and outer skin.

Re: My winter project
Wow, that pile of shrapnel really tells the story. How did it drive? It sure looks good. Thanks for telling about the build process and posting pictures. I actually can relate a lot more to a build like this than the custom ones.

Re: My winter project
I have the wheel tubs in and the floor painted, a lot of time for what seemed like a little rust repair.

Re: My winter project
I have the fuel tank ready to go in and checking the length of the vent and fuel lines. I will need to put some on before the tank is in place. I did get a real dress-up kit.

Re: My winter project
New/old dress-up kit installed, pretty sure I lose some horsepower from removing the chrome/painted stuff but things we do.

Re: My winter project
Well after recovering from the shock of my paint job quote I decided to work on the refurbished parking lenses I got from a board member and all installed.

Re: My winter project
Hi Tom, I got the quote from a shop that has been around for years and I have had them do a lot of work for me from full paint down to accident damage. They want to take the blazer down to bare metal for warranty purposes, I can understand that since their name is on it but 25k + is just a bit steep for me. Maybe I will have to learn paint.
