Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Here is my 76 when it had the 383 in it. I'm almost finished with the New 408 sbc It has Crappy heads for now, which will be replaced with AFR's and An Entire Roller Valvetrain... But for now... it is what it is.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Here's mine. It's super dirty since we live on a dirty/dusty farm road. I still need to get the hood painted aswell as the front bumper. The lights on the grille will be behind the grille soon. I'm also planning to lower the front an inch or two after I fix the body alignment.
My wife and my inlaws say they actually like the white hood(it makes the truck stand out from the other two similar trucks in town), but I think it'll look more "complete" with the hood painted to match.

Truck looks good. Yeah the white hood is different, but I'm with you it will look better when it's painted.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
looks good i was looking intoo running 2 screens in the dash behind the steeringwheel instead of the analog gauges making it look like the cockpit of a modern airplane running virtual gauges on them the radio/cdplayer and navigation through touchscreen
sofar i couldnt find a program to create that dash in realtime would be neat though having a smoked plexiglas front that lights up like a screen as soon as you make contact the nice thing of that setup is that you could change the placing and the skins of the dash to suit youre needs the speedo could run of the navigation the gas would be a ampmeter volt meter would be a voltage meter rev counter schould be some kind of pulsecounter clock would be simple and so would blinkerindictor lights and oilpressure warning most of the hardwhare exist and they use these type of dashboards with aftermarked electronic fuelinjectionsystems and modern dynomometers but running of desktops i would need it running of a PDA type of device (without crashing harddisk)

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
The concept of virtual gauges sounds great, but most people who have those setups do so in newer cars and tap into a software that can translate the OBDII. Even still, I think you can pull it off doing what you described. Another though would be to try and achieve the cockpit look with one of the universal kits from Dakota Digital...
http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...=cat/cat69.htm ...and then you could use this for indicator and shift lights... http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...prod/prd62.htm |

whats up fellas, got some new pix of my truck without the cragars and sporting ralle's and new rubber. i am using vette beauty rings for now, but i have some stock rings in the mail. i think 3'' rings are a bit too much. bumper is off finally!!!! throwing a rollpan on tommorow at work. (they have way coller tools there.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
I love the trim rings. I sure could use a set of 3 inch rings if you get tired of them. Truck looks really good bud.
