Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

My pal, Don, and I are ready to get started on this short stepper we found as an abandoned project.

It has a later-model bed and fenders that we kinda' like, but if a '67-'72 bed turns up for a good price, we might go back to OEM style. The kid before us dropped in a crate 350 with a complete Edelbrock top end and a Turbo 400.

Most of the chassis and suspension was (rather poorly) blasted and cleaned. Like most native Nevada trucks it has virtually ZERO rust, so the metal work should be pretty minimal. I love living in the high desert!

We'll take photos as we get underway, and might slap up a build thread, if it would be of any interest. This will be a low-budget build, but I think we are blessed to be starting with a solid truck.

Thanks to you all for the great inspiration!

Just my opinion but....lose the later model rear fenders. Nice truck tho.

Yup. I've visited Pahrump many times. Art Bell and the best fireworks stands anywhere! I'm a native Nevadan, and glad to know there are more Silver Staters here on the board.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

This is not mine, but I see this beauty quite often at a local cruise. ALL original and has only 31K actual miles. A local truck. They also often display the original window sticker in it.

My great uncle has one of these too.... I will take photos tomorrow and post.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

Hey everyone, I've been checking all these nice trucks for awhile now and I must say, there's some beautiful rides in here. Every time I read these forums I want to go out and start taking mine apart, but I'm not wanting to open that can of worms yet.

I've had mine for 6 weeks now. New bumpers, tailgate, 3 point seat belts, Torq thrust wheels, and lots of cleaning the last 6 weeks.

Glad to be here, here's a few pics.

350/350 turbo
