Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Drove the mule about 280 miles today, round trip from my place to Baton Rouge to meet up with truck guys for breakfast. The mule never missed a beat and temps held at 185 even doing 75-80 (at times) with a 3.73 rear.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

So got up and out late, and started bending, copying and shaping the new pipes, using the old ones as a sample.

Finger tightened all the ends as I made them up.

The pipes can be shaped once the engine, gearbox, inner fenders etc are all back in.

Once all that was done, the last part was done using a rattle can to shape the spirals.

Final pic.

Whatcha think ?

Yes, I am very pleased with the results at this point.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

I actually did something to my truck other than moving out of the way...

I pulled the stuff that was "stored" in the interior to get a feel for what I need to get done on the floors to make it road worthy without doing the complete rust repair at this time. Not to bad, but will take some time. I also found my bench seat adjusters/mounts that I will fit to a bench seat out of a '77 C20 that I have.

Not much, but felt good to give it some attention.
