The radio in the Jeep is driving me nuts. The volume knob is 90% broken so if you touch it, the sound could go up or down, no matter which way you spin it I try to leave it alone, but if AC/DC comes on... you know....

30.5cc water cooled 2 strokes ported and polished, lightened pistons, all kinds of stuff up to 7.5hp for this one. The smaller ones run the Nitro fuel that the RC cars run and then there are a couple different electric classes.

Are you sure that your wife didn't rig it to turn down when AC/DC comes on? My wife would. She unplugs my amplifiers.

Made a leather sheath for the knife . First attempt at one still need to stitch the seam and add a beltloop . The grooves are to relief the bend like putting Kerf cuts n wood . Water is applied to bend area.

To be honest, I wish she could do that. Don't get me wrong, my wife is a veterinarian, finished near the top of her class, and doing very well professionally... HOWEVER, she knows/understands jack squat about electronics. I had to show her several times how to use the surround camera system in the equinox, I always have to set up her devices, show her how to use the new stuff on the computer or TV... oh wait a tick... I think she's using me...

I know my wife would rig my radio to turn down sometimes if she could. I can, and in the past frequently have, listened to the justice and master albums on repeat for days on end.

Your wife may be related to me. If we get some new electronic doohickey I just give my wife puppy dog eyes or scream obscenities at it until she pushes me out of the way and fixes it.

WTH. It works.

I'm enjoying the process of seeing your knife and sheath come together. That will be quite a blade to have strapped your belt. Just be careful when you sit down, don't want to damage the vinyl in your truck or negatively impact any other pertinent appurtenances...

Fish and chips sound delicious.

I am a JP fan too. No holds barred on that intro. Another of my favorite intros is to Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones. They drag the beat in there and swing it a little bit and it's just right. If I'm honest, it's not among my very favorite songs, but that intro sure does the trick.

It's possible. She is a Cali girl. Born in LA, grew up in Whittier until she was 9.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Gotta retire what's left of my old Stihl 042AV. It's a shame, it's still mechanically very good, always been a strong-running saw. I bought it new 40 years ago. Fuel line went bad, no OEM parts available and saw shops won't touch it. I bought a replacement fuel line and put it in, then found fuel leaking into the carb area. Rats. Fuel tank must have a crack in it. Now I'm down to just my Husky 350 which is a great little saw but sure doesn't have the power of that 042.

Took my econobox to the car wash and then clayed out and waxed the top surfaces. First time since December. I blame arthritic foot pain. I'm going to have to get to the sides, soon.

He's crafty! I like seeing the things you put your hands to. All things I like as well. would an oil be a good thing to soften at the fold? I guess a little water won't hurt. doesn't need to be pliable there.

My ex-wife didn't have to understand electronics to get me to turn the music down. She'd just say, "Can you turn that down?", then, "More?", then "More?". Then I'd just turn it off and say, "Did you want to talk?". Silence......

Listening to music home alone or her upstairs. Nothing said, she would walk into the room, turn it off, and turn the TV on. "You could have asked or at least waited till the song was over." "My show is coming on". She hated it when I'd call her Queen of Sheba (but I think she liked the bowing gesture)

What I've been doing not on my truck is making a small extension to a countertop in my kitchen.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Then I got the idea to make a rack to slide the cutting board in under the new top. The top I made from the sink cut-out I've had stashed 0ver 30 years. I had made the oak butcher block countertops way back then. So easy peezy, ready-made top! I wanted the leg to be hefty so I cut that out of an old oak 2" x 4" I saved from a job on an old house or barn. No Nails!
Name: DSCN0011.jpg
Views: 198
Size: 52.2 KB

It did have a healthy bow to it, so I straightened it up on the table saw. I used some of the remainder to cut down the pieces for the cutting table rack. I didn't want to close that area in and block light with an actual shelf or drawer, so I decided on the rack. One piece across and two running back to the wall. Then add a stop so the cutting board sits flush out front. I drilled into the cutting board to epoxy a brass machine screw to mount a black know to match the rest of the kitchen
Name: DSCN0015.jpg
Views: 196
Size: 49.5 KB

The table saw blade is ready to be replaced, but I wanted to rip these pieces first incase there were any nails hidden in there. My tool box with the sanders is buried where I couldn't lay my eyes on it, due to the barn move project. Planer is buried, too. So it was good ol' old fashioned hand sanding to get the saw marks, including burn marks, out of the wood. I still need to trim some length off the brass machine screw and finish assembling the rack. Be back later with pictures. Also want to refinish the old teak cutting board. Need to pick up that oil

I have limited counter space and the idea is to put the microwave there to gain the entire top next to the stove
Tim your house is so cool.

But it's so clean. Aren't you a single guy? When I was single my house looked like it. Dirty laundry and beer cans all over.

When I first met my wife I took off work early to go clean it up because I didn't want her to think I was such a slob. False advertising I know. But it worked. She said what a nice place, and all I could think was "You should have seen it this afternoon'.

I had a cleaning lady. She would walk in and wrinkle her face and cuss me in Spanish. I forget exactly what she would say. But I know enough Spanish to know that it wasn't good.
