For the record, I used member LockDoc (Leon) advice HERE to assemble the glass in the door. It went right together. I know it will be way heavier to install but I think it will be worth it.

I still need to drill the mirror holes and mount it. Still up in the air about that, lot of talk on here about the sport mirrors being worthless on the pass. side.

Thanks Ryan. Yep, I measured three times and still had to slot one of the holes. I guess these doors vary from truck to truck, that's a surprise. I hope they line up half way decent with the fender and cab pieces...

Thanks Keith. From what I researched it is easier to install them laying down too.

Hey Mike, good job on the door. Your truck's looking better with every update!

I've read that and I'm a little worried about it too. I bought new mirrors form Classic Parts since my current mirrors are not the correct mirrors. I may deviate from the factory location a bit, but I'm yet to try anything with them. I'm hoping the convex mirror I bought is going to help with the visibility issue though. (This)

Thanks Duane. I read about those convex mirrors yesterday. I'm not going that route since I have already bought mirrors. I'm not sure what to do? Some guys just set them to cover the blindspot and are happy with it. I use my pass. mirrors a lot on highway traffic. I'll probably just put it in the stock location and be done with it.....

Looking great Mike. The trim looks great with the red. I sat in the driver seat and my dad held the mirror on the passenger door, and we adjusted until it was usable. It's not exact, but at least I get to use it now. Then we just put the mirror on the driver's door in a similar location to the passenger side so that they're close to the same spot.

Thanks, me too, I'm kinda old school like that. I've always loved the woodgrain on these trucks.

Thanks Jason. I'm like the trim too. It's all NOS pieces that have glue residue on them. It's a pain to get them clean but worth it.
I'm still debating on the pass. side mirror. I know I am putting the driver side where it went from GM, but the location of the pass. side I'm a little worried about. I may just wait till the door is hung and do what you did.

Thanks Jason. Still have to do the driver side. I had to get away from the doors tonight. Was getting sick of looking at them. I need a few parts to get the driver side put together.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

Small update, I took a day away from the doors. I finished up the duct work, installed the radio, glovebox, and glovebox door. Then I reinstalled the carpet, test fit my seats and console then start cutting the holes for the bolts.

I mostly just wanted to see what the interior will look like almost fully assembled.
On a side note the a/m radio is just for looks till I can find a deal on a nice am/fm. Thanks to members Cash3481 (Mike) for the radio and Teeitup (Randy)for the knobs.
For now, I am going to put a modern radio in my console like several other members have done.

V/A duct work done, wiring tidied up

Glovebox and door and radio installed:

Test fitting the seats and cutting the bolt holes in the carpet:

LED back lights:

That interior shot is beautiful. Nice job. Your evaporator just disappears with the black carpet.

Mike, where did you get the LED bulbs for the dash? I'm getting ready to order some but I don't want to waste my time on chinese relabeled garbage ones if you know what I mean.
