Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
motornut, I'm sorry for your loss. Look on the bright side, all that stuff will unbolt and the parts are cheap. She'll live to fight another day. If the cowls pushed in, so what pull it back out, no one will see it under a new fender.

Ericjon, that is an awesome looking Suburban! Love the color combination, hardly ever see that.
Shame about the door. Might want to talk to motornut, he might have a suspect. |

I wouldn't be worried about it if the B pillar wasn't bent.

The Camper Special emblem came with different weight ratings, mine says 10,000 but I have seen smaller ratings. The trim on the cab normally has the Chevy bowtie or the GMC, but there is a tee pee instead if it is a Camper Special.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
the Idea was to have a place for a contractor to pile tools or for someone to just have more cargo room.
you got to remember these truck were being sold in the days when you could still order the trucks built the way you wanted ie; color, a/c, no other creacher comforts, and that back seat was an option that could put you over your budget and whats up with all the damn suburbans in the crew cab thread?

This is what I mean by ugly 70's two-tone paint. I love 'em. Would like to see more of this truck if anybody knows the guy. Pittsburgh local from what I can figure out.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
Me too! That green and white truck is beautiful!!
My truck is not a bonus cab, however the guy took the rear seat out of storage and put it back in before he sold it to me. It was out forever, just for that reason to fit stuff back there. So now I have a crewcab with a brand new rear seat and a recently recovered front seat. Too bad the front seat is the old style that stops a foot from the door. It's coming out. |
