Re: My Facetruck thread.
55 jet plane! Saw this sitting on the counter at an old junkyard. I paid way too much for it thinking they would let me walk around and look at old trucks... nope I gave it to my old man thinking he would hang it on the wall

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Looks great... either way! I understand the desire to change things up when you own one for long enough. I also realize a louvered hood isn't so convenient when it comes to keeping an engine bay clean. I'm tickled to have a louvered hood for the '67 mild custom project, but I'll also be painting a stock hood for it.
I always liked the '55s with emblem gone from hood and truck. But that preference goes back to when these were 10 year old cars. Things change in time, don't they? Even in the early-80s when I had a 4dr wagon, it always bugged me the car was root beer metallic (remember how popular that was?) with chrome stripped and green metal flake steering wheel. I wanted so bad to put it back to original Neptune Green Poly w/trim, and find an original steering wheel.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Spotted this today. I think for my last ride here on earth, what could be better than a orange caddy?

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Now, I just have to ask. Why the heck does a hearse need red bubble gum machines and red headlights!? That stiff ain't in anyhurry to get stuffed into the ground!

Re: My Facetruck thread.
We all know that's an ambulance, right? Hopefully the ride that 'saves' your life. I'll take it!
Apparently some folks are in a hurry to get buried. Or this is the one they sent out to accidents where the injured had no health insurance

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Around this area in the 60’s and early 70’s, I been told that the hearse/ambulance were one and the same. Thinking that was the situation when this was new

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Looks like a nice event Larry.
We had some rain today, this the first time in 15 years or more that I didn’t go to the ole maris river run. I didn’t even go in to ottawa today. |

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Looks like another choice gathering of trucks. We're in a bit of a drought here. Rain hasn't been in the picture for some time now, and not next week. I figure all that will end the day Fall Carlisle comes around. Last year was the first time I went since '15 due to rain... a whole lot of rain.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I drove the Longhorn down.12 mpg running 65-70 mph and running the AC. 1000 trucks and the park was packed. We didn't drive in any rain. It was dry and dusty at the park.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
That GMC is about the best looking truck you showed. I like that '68 and the Suburban.
