Re: Project Blue Goose
Thanks Josh, Yeah the little ones are taking up most of my time. I also have house projects that take priority over "truck time" so it will continue to be a slow build

Join the club! That's ok though, no matter how much these trucks mean to us, family comes first.

Re: Project Blue Goose
I can't get the sway bar to align with the short frame brackets. I guess I'll have to try it with factory brackets.

Re: Project Blue Goose
I just checked the install directions on the Ridetech site and they say to remove the bracket and drill new holes. So they eliminate the bracket all together. I'll have to mock it up and see if that's possible.

Re: Project Blue Goose
This is how my Porterbuilt Sway Bar is mounted. I bent the gold bracket to match the frame where it mounts and then I used some grade 8 washers as spacers to space it off the frame a little. Hope this made sense but it worked good.

Re: Project Blue Goose
I haven't had the chance to mess with it any further. But with using washers as spacers is the rubber isolator tight against your frame?

Re: Project Blue Goose
I forgot until I looked at it but mine has a plate that mounts between the isolator and the frame. I had to bend the plate to match the angle of the frame and then used 2 3/8" grade 8 washers between the plate and the mounting bracket for the rubber isolator so that it would mount correctly without any bind to it. The isolator mounts tight against the plate.

Re: Project Blue Goose
Picked up some 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" blocks to make lowering blocks.
Still need to drill the holes for the sway bar mounts. Detail pic

Re: Project Blue Goose
Drilled the holes for the sway bar mounts and bolted it up.
It looks close at interfering with the linkage but I'll have to wait and check it out once there is weight on the front end.
