Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

I went out to sealy with my newer setup today. I was happy with the results . I switched out to a set of 781s with big valves. Put a weiand stealth intake and 850 holley on there. I'm running a 3200 rpm revmax converter . First run out I went 12.78@105.7mph. 1.92 60 foot. Quite a bit better Than my last time out!

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

last night the family and I took the old truck out to the strip for the first time with the new engine/chassis setup. I decided to run just on motor because of the new engine,trans,suspension,brakes etc... and it did ok for the first time out. left on foot brake it started to transfer and broke loose clicked it off at the 1/8 mile to check the plugs etc....

I think if you could get your 60' down to a 1.6 you should run a 11.5-6 easy with that MPH.

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

Yeah the track was pretty bad. I couldn't get traction off the line. It was a street legal night so there was no traction compound down. But I was pretty pumped. It was almost a second faster just from a gear swap and bigger tires

Tried again with linelock and transbrake.
With hood on:
60' 1.71
1/8 7.46
1/4 11.72
mph 114
Took my hood off:
60' 1.63
1/8 7.32
1/4 11.58
mph 114

Time for a roll cage now

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

New bests for me

418ci LS motor running E48 (91/E85 mix)
Power Glide trans
4.56/30" Drag radial

Motor Pass
60' = 1.539
330' = 4.298
1/8 = 6.673 @ 103.984
1000' = 8.749
1/4 = 10.54 @ 122.293

It is laying over on the top end and the converter is "too tight" for motor. But not bad for first weekend out shake down.

100 hit.
60' - 1.521
1/8 - 6.301 @ 112.336
1/4 - 10.216 @ 111.814

I left on the trans brake on motor, reach up and armed the bottl. N20 is on a WOT switch so it came on right away. I was out of gear well before the 1,000' mark.

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

Well finally got truck out to make a nitrous pass. Made a motor pass to check out new rear coilover spings (200# -> 150#) from previous trip,went a 10.70@122 . First nitrous pass came off the transbreak and shifted way early to second gear. Will be moving transbreak button to steering wheel from shifter . Second nitrous pass was ok but not wanting to shift early was a little late as you see in the video. Looks like it sat the front tires down just pass the 60' mark with a 1.35 60'. Best pass of the night was a 9.82 @ 133.61 on 1 stage. Now to finish wiring the second stage and see what it will do. Also meet Dinnut and some his buddies, good to meet you Dinnut.

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

foot braked the truck and shot 150hp on it for the first nos pass. It picked the tires up and unloaded. upon inspection later I found a dent in the rear differential cover. It looks like the panhard bar has been hitting the cover causing the rear to unload.

Definitely impressive at 4,200lbs. Looks like you have a low 10 to high 9 in it.

Re: post latest 1/4 and 1/8 mile times and 60ft.

Thanks guys. the truck has a dart little m block. it is a 434cube sbc. it has brodex ik200 aluminum heads and a motown intake. Barry grant 750 might demon 10.5 to 1 comp. solid roller bullet cam. MSD billet dis. and a digital 6 box. going to convert to e-85 in a month. it has an NX system with edlebrock controller. I have the 250 pills but spraying 75%. So there is still a lot left in the truck especially when we change to e-85. The trans is my stage 3 700r4 trans. I will post a video and pics of the truck and the 6.42 pass some one video at my last race. the truck should run 6:15 when we get it dialed in with the 250 shot and hoping for high 5's when we convert to e-85. Were also running a 10 point cage mild steel. Oh and the truck is pearl white with a spare tire on the side and yes I'm(to the younger croud) an old man
