I would vote for new on the trans. Just think of taking 4 years to finally get to drive it and then finding out the used tranny has to be pulled and rebuilt. Beautiful truck!!

Well the verdict is in, I'm going with the new tranny! I agree with you guys. It's going to cost me $175.00 more! But I think it's a great investment choice! And thanks for the compliment, my dream is to make The Classic Truck Magazine one day!

Sometimes you just can't beat simplicity! No chrome no bling! Old school! Break up the look a little. I think I will go black plugs and all black hoses to match the black block... Mix it up a little!

Powder coated Battery Tray! I was concerned that it may not mesh with endurance shine parts but it goes perfect with the radiator!

Yeah Brian! It's been 8 years buddy! I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. I would say you have no idea! But I'm sure you do! I got a question for ya! I just pulled the E-brake pedal from my donor cab. I wanted to install it instead of that ugly handle. It looks like a simple enough upgrade. Just 3 holes in the firewall, right? Or would it be more to it? 2 holes for the bolts and one hole for the cable?

I figure I could take a piece of paper and scribble a template of the holes and make my marks I should be able to upgrade that e-brake to a pedal instead of a handle. Let me know if it's more to it than that guys! Or if you have better suggestions..

Do you notice in the picture how the firewall protrudes where the parking brake bolts to it? Without that indention the parking brake assembly is too long and won't fit.

Ok! You read my mind! I was thinking, what if I cut about a half inch out and welded it back together! That would give me the length I need?? Well I can weld it, but I know some guys that can!

Went and took a quick shower and Southern Kentucky Parts were waiting for me on the porch my wife said! My back cab carpet and my clear parking light lenses! Crazy thing is I ordered this last and it got here first!

Thanks! There was a guy named Wildman something or other, that had some really cool looking ones that I met on Facebook. But I couldn't see paying $800.00 for one. I decided to go the cheaper cleaner route. Trying to finishes this thing as reasonable as possible now, but at the same time, don't take away from my vision. Maybe one day, but for now, I'll just go with my Brothers stainless steel radiator cover that's on the way! But keep'em coming! I love to see what's out there and my options in the future!

Hopefully I will install my windows this week. I bought new vent windows but decided to change the tint windows to smoke. And seal them. Kind of difficult molesting a brand new $250.00 part each. But hey can't start to settle at the end just to finish!

My soul (get it) purpose of my build was to give my truck that Urban perspective, but still hold on to the authenticity of the classic trucks! Only necessary modifications but still the basic bones of the original engineering with only changes that were crucial like wiring harness and change of the gas tank location. Keeping the vent windows and coils. But adding a electric fan and serpentine pulley set. What I think would be some changes that would be made if this truck was made today. Like all disc brakes around. And although my seats are custom they are still original 1967 C-10 bucket seats just with a urban appeal! Most people don't really care for the small back windows, I think that's what drew me to it even more. Also keep with the rareness of the 1967 C-10 although big windows were available in 67, the small windows were not made after 67. That's why I also shaved the after market side lights. I upgraded my dash bezel by going with a Dakota Digital and chrome steering column and wheel but still gives it that dated look with bling and early tech! With hood appeal of 22inch rims but the classic Foose design! That's the reason my truck is called "URBAN RETRO"

Speaking of my rims, when I initially purchased my FOOSE NITROUS. I ran in to several obstacles. First, they had discontinued the rim in 22 inch. Next I found 5 of them 22x9.5 with a pair with 4.5bs and the other pair 5.25bs. But the lug pattern had to be machined to fit my lug pattern. Well I had bought drop spindles years in advance. I even purchased a early 70's rear end for a 5 lug straight bolt up patter and what I thought was a perfect gear ratio. Well fast forwarding years later and now ready to buy tires. My tire guy questioned my application and was concerned about clearance. Most guys aren't concerned about capabilities and just looking to make a buck! But Tommy Lee from TNT Motor Sports in Tulsa, Oklahoma was not one of them! He not only mounted a tire for me to take with me to test fit, even though we had just met by a mutual new friend a member of the forum. He also was concerned about the width of my replacement rear end and the gear ratio. After much research and measuring we realized that although my truck's original rearend was a 4:11 gear ration which was perfect in length and for my application of a 700R4 and 22 inch rims and would go perfect with my 4.5bs. My only problem was my 5.25 with the drop spindles would not clear. So we had to go with the CPP Modular Spindle! It tucked my rim in just enough to give me the ride and clearance I was looking for and needed!
