Re: ls turbo build

That's kind of what I was wondering also. Wasn't sure if solid mounts alone would be enough to keep from flexing

Re: ls turbo build

You may still want to get some braided pipe in there somewhere. You will still have movement without a motor plate and chasing hot pipe cracks later wont be fun.

Just want to see you enjoy it!

Like I said it's just my 2 cents. I have done a ton too and rarely see any fix mounted setups work well in a driver.

In the end it's your build and I'm not trying to take away from it. I'm sure you have a lot of time in it and look forward to see another boosted c10!

Lookin' good! You're gonna love the turbo LS. I couldn't be happier with mine. It's unbelievable the torque they make once on the boost.

Re: ls turbo build

Looks good can't wait to see the finished product. Also if the Trubo is fixed to the frame and the motor has rubber mounts something will crack fast.

Re: ls turbo build

I see you used the POL tubular motor mount stands with the LS, how far is the engine sitting (forward/back)? I'm looking to out a LS in my 67 and I currently have those tubular engine stands, wondering which mounting postion brackets I should buy to have your current position

I just bought the ones for a bigblock if I remember correctly.. then u bought the dirty dingo sliders so I wouldn't have to cut or change driveshafts... fully adjustable...nice pieces

Not sure on price of dp....all my parts came from racepart solutions.... could of saved some money using columbia river, but the customer service sucked....lol

The whole hotside and cold side and downpipe and 2 jgs wastegates then paying a friend to custom build it all was right at $4500....ouch.....
