Re: Bad Idea
Fenders, grille support, and cowl are to be in my hands Thursday or Friday. Body/paint work will start on the bed then. A few "smallish" things to get done and I'll drive this pile around the block.
Probably gotta get some new wheel studs in. Little to short for the new wheels. Only 1.5" long studs and can only get 6 full turns on the nuts. Kinda makes me nervous. Lots of work to go but its really starting to get moving now. Stay tuned. |

Re: Bad Idea
For sure get some longer studs man.. Last thing you want after all that work and money is to lose a wheel and smash stuff up...
You have a couple more weeks till the Nats... Get Busy!

Re: Bad Idea
I got the front and back glass in. Back was pretty easy. Front was a pain in the ass. Weatherstrips are Precision from GMCPauls. New repop trim was from GMCPauls too.

Re: Bad Idea
I'm still alive.
It's turning into monthly updates. Not of my doing. I'm trying to be as patient as possible with the painter. Hope to get final pieces very soon. |

Re: Bad Idea
Been working steady on it with a little of everything. Mostly been hard after getting the bedwood into shape. Stain, sanding, poly coat, sanding, more sanding, and buffing. Got it all kinda where I want it. Long process.

Re: Bad Idea
Don't have any pics of anything since last post except for the halo/h4 lights thrown on. The inner/outer fenders, grille support, and grille are on too. I'm scared of door to fender gaps. They make me nervous as hell.

Re: Bad Idea
Ryan.. Im sure you already know this, but set the doors to the cab first and then set the fenders... the part I worry most about is the windshield cowl once there is paint on everything... Looks amazing man, coming along great

Re: Bad Idea
This'll be a bad pic I know. It's black engine, with black bay, and close to midnight on Saturday. Was the quickest pic I could grab before callin it a night. It's close.

Re: Bad Idea
That looks nice with the black, I know it was hard to keep a minimal number of colors and not have ten different shades of one color.
