Re: 1970 K20 Z62 Full Restoration

Inching closer to more color. Holes for rear trim and fender emblems. Bed assembly complete. A little seam sealer squeeze out at the tubs...per factory. And now the bed goes on the rotisserie to make access a little easier.

Re: 1970 K20 Z62 Full Restoration

A quick word on NOS vs reproduction stuff. We're always trying to be smart in our allocation of resources...with the goal of getting the best result. There are a lot of NOS pieces in this truck, but there will be reproduction stuff too. The quality and fidelity of repro pieces is highly variable. Some things are identical and great value and a lot of stuff (as you all know) is junk. I have had good luck on some repro pieces and then other times, you know it's a problem the minute you lay eyes on it. Look at these OE taillight bezels against these reproductions. There are visible gaps and short finish lines. Even the tailgate piece is too long. Point is, this is an area where NOS makes a lot of sense (and is still good value...for now).

Re: 1970 K20 Z62 Full Restoration

On my 67 i got all my mouldings from mar-k .My tail light mouldings are the only pieces that did not fit. They were flat and wouldn't follow the contour of the tail edge of the door. Nos ones fit flawlessly.
