72 cheyenne super big block question

Hello there. I am looking to buy a 72 cheyenne super with a 402 big block. I know chevy made a 400 small block engine and my question is when they put the 402 big block in their trucks they used the 400 emblems on the fenders but was it listed as a 400 or a 402 on the glove box option sticker? Thanks in advance for your help.

Nevermind. I just think I found the answer to my question and it would be listed as the 400 on the RPO sticker. Thanks 67 CST.

Some of the 402's were listed as 396 in the glove box, all 402 trucks had 400 badges on the fenders.

I have a 72 cheyenne super with a 402 big block, and in the glove box it lists it as a 400. But on the actual engine block on the passenger side valve cover it has a sticker saying when the egine left the factory and it lists the displacment as a 402.

here's a picture of the the glove box option sticker. If anyone wants to see it I will try to load the sticker on the valve cover too.

If it is listed as a 396, a 400, or a 402, it doesn't really matter, the 402 was the only engine offered in that size range. (as in, no 400 small block was ever offered)
