esc
i did a search and see that i need to cut the black and green wires to disconnect the esc now do they get taped togher or does green go to green and black to black thanks

hey thanks for the help got that all taken care of now i want to remove the harness for it but there are 2 wires running to a vacume siloniod of some sort on the pass. side fire wall what is it and do i need it i know i don't need the rest of the wiring but those two have me puzzeled by the way they are yellow and brown wires thanks

It sounds like you are running an auto transmission. Those two wires go to a VAC TIP IN switch. There should be a vac line going to this switch connect to intake vacuum. If I remember right, it senses sudden changes in manifold vacuum and the switch would momentarily close. The ESC used this signal to control the spark on sudden vac changes. If you bypassed your ESC, then the switch does nothing. You will see TIP IN switch on the original emissions sticker (if you still have it). Mike Ervin explains the operation in his link. hey thanks for the help guys i looked at the sticker it is the vac tip in so it will be gone by tonight
