new brakes, shocks, and waterpump
we finally got around to doing the brakes and halfway through being done with the brakes, the waterpump decides it wants to leak like crazy. so when we werent working on the brakes, i decided to tackle the water pump, and while i was in there painted all the brackets and cleaned a bunch of stuff up. i painted the other power steering pump, but ended up leaving this one on there because i figured out how to make it work.

heres a shot with the rear wheel off, this brake job was complete! we put all new drums, wheel cylinders, shoes, springs, and all. we also put new shocks while it was all apart. next we tore apart the heater core and housing and we are currently waiting on parts from california and spring, tx so we can finish that up, i got a heater motor gasket on order in that group.... and a fan shroud so i dont accidentally tear off my arm and prevent overheating at the same time... i painted the heater core housing and the heater motor. boy there was all kinds of crap in the heater core housing and in the blower.
and a pic of the seat i got from krazy texan a while back.... its not bolted down in the picture, but is now, but i have to take it loose again to build the boxes for my subs..... and fix the floors...

yes i sure do! i need better power steering bracketry!!! the system i have is just not working. i got a nut on the back of the stud but the nut was like impossible to turn no matter if it was fine or coarse and it looked coarse so i just used a coarse nut and made it go all the way. someone told me after it may be metric. the current lower bracket is made to attach to exh. manifolds but i dont have those i have headers so only 1 bolt is holding the bracket on and the impossible to turn nut is holding the psteering pump is held by that. b4 the nut wastn event here so i guess its better now. the upper bracket goes off to the side for who knows what reason and the 3rd bolt for the psteering pump that is supposed to goto the block through the waterpump (i think??) just goes and hits solid metal. and that is supposed to help hold the psteering pump too???? i think im just gonna get the bracketry to use this pump i have painted. dont worry its not baby blue i painted it gloss black... and it looks a ton better

and ragenrat... i have a long water pump. a 69 would be a short water pump. alot different mainly my alt is on passenger side instead of drivers side
