key swap

hi all,
I just got a new set of lock and ignition keys for the truck. Any info out there about how to swap the ignition tumbler? I can't find the old key, either, am I screwed? should I just call the locksmith?

Cool

Check out this web site

It shows a tilt column. A non-tilt column is little easier, but not much different if your just changing the ignition cylinder. The first time you remove the clip that holds down the lock plate, you might cuss a bit.
Good luck

Good article, use to do locksmith work myself.

Still have the tool for depressing the locking plate to get that first snap ring off.
