Let the rebuilding begin!! (pics)

Well, a buddy of mine came up today and we started tearing down the 68. Got a lot done today, the front clip is off, most of the interior is out, the glass is out, and the bed is off. Now I just need to get everything out of the dash, and it's off to the sandblaster. Then I can get the other chassis in and start cutting it down to SBW length.

Found some rust in the right kickpanel area at the floor, and some rust on the lip that the door seal glues to right in the middle at the bottom. Should be real easy to fix. There is also a little bit on the drivers floor at the seam right under the dimmer switch.

And away we go!!!!!!

Anyone need some parts?

The rust in the pass floor area:

I'll take the glove compartment box. Not the lid, the actual box part. I have a cardboard box in mine. Also, if any of your body bushings are still anygood, I need just the rubber for a radiator core support. Just one corner. Also, is that a factory style steering wheel? I need a black one, with horn cap, in case you are upgrading yours.
I'd also like a garage like yours. They don't have them like that in apartments.

I'm actually going to sell them for what I have in them ... $250 plus shipping.

I'll see what kind of condition the bushings are in when I get them out. The steering wheel is off of a 88 to 90-something truck. It's a straight swap. Let me think about the glove box, I'm still not sure what type of A/C system I'm gonna go with.

I drove it to town on Mother's Day (5th time I had driven it), and got side-swiped by a drunk driver who tried to pass me on the left while on an interstate on-ramp. My insurance company took care of the damages, and are now going after the owner of the other car. (Step-son, whom was WAAAAAY drunk, took mommies GT Mustang without permission!)

I have planned on major body work this winter, but this just moved it up a little!
