difference in Alternators??

Is there a difference in alternator between a stock inline 6 and a stock 350 from 72?

maybe-

If there is, its usually only in the "clock" position. That is where the plug goes into the alternator. If you already have the alternator most can be re-"clocked",

Thats the only difference i have found in alternators you can take those four bolts off the back of the case and turn it to how you need it..

They are clocked different for big blocks too.
