Inner Fenders- Chevy vs GMC
Is there a difference between GMC and Chevrolet INNER fenders? I have a 70 GMC and I think Chevy inner fenders are the same, but not sure. Any input on this, before I remove right side and replace???

GMCs still used the Chevy '67-'68 style fenders thru to '72, Chevy's line changed slightly in '69. The (inner) fender "skirts" may be the same, but if you can get an earlier style, you won't have a problem. I was gonna use a fender skirt off a '72 as a replacement on my '68 Chevy due to some rust holes under the battery box, but the '72 looked different, since about 3 mounting nut positions had been shaved off in a long taper to the back. No idea if this was stock ['69-'72] or some PO's quick fix to make room for big meats w/o lifting the body. I can't complain, a buddy gave me a whole '72 doghouse just to clear it out of his yard.

Thanks for the feedback. Any ideas where one might locate a pre-69 Chevy inner fender??
