Factory Waste Line?
I notice my suburban has a bit of a waste line in the passenger side and in the roof on that side. It is noticable and only on the passenger side. Is this common on all?

I am not sure what you are calling a "waste line", but on my son's 72 Burb, there are two condensate hoses in the back. The two hoses are routed on the inside of the rear posts and route the condensate to the rear of the quarters and out. The hoses keep the condensate from the rear AC from running into the passenger compartment.

Not to confuse anyone, I'm speaking of a factory body wave in the passenger side. Not any toxic run off....lol. Looking down the pass. side you can see a wave in the roof and the doors. Is this correct on all? Thanx Jim for the other. I didn't know that either.

The roof line on my son's Burb is straight. I am not sure what you have.

Did you make the stand for the burb or buy it? How did you lift the body off the frame ? |

My son and I made the frame out of rectangular steel tubing, (2"x4"). There are only two cross members on it (one on each end). We bought the wheels from Northern, two steerable and two non steerable. We used pallets under the body to get it level.
To pick it off of the frame we used two 1/2 ton chainfalls. The chains were attached to the rear at the hinge bolts and to the front at the upper fender mount. I think that you can see the setup from the pic. If you need any more information on how we did it, just let me know. Jim |

It's not bad at all. It has to be factory. This truck is straight as an arrow. Its most noticeable when the two doors are shut and looking down the side.

What color?Maybe it is an optical illusion because of the "extra" door. On a side note, Had a guy tell me yesterday that I did a good job on welding my driverside door closed, but he could still see where it was.

Smokekiki,
You did not tell him that you had one of those rare three doors? We had my son's Blazer at a car show once and these folks were looking at it, (top was off). One of them said " look, someone cut the top off of a truck". Someone else in the group said "they really did a good job, didn't they?". Sometimes comments can be funny! Jim |

I tried to tell him all 67-72 suburbans had 3 doors. He showed me where the 4th door had been. When he walked away he was still under the belief that he was right, because there is no way GM would make it with 3 doors
