I ran a 275/50-17 Nitto tire on a 9.5 inch rim. Also a 255/50-17 on an 8 inch tire in the front. I got the tires from Discount Tire Direct. Sorry no pics.

I currently have 275/40-17 on 9.5" rims on the back of my truck. I'll get some pics tomorrow and show you.

well i those are all awesome...but not quite what i had in mind.
I was really trying to find a set of tires that would have an almost pro street tire that would fit a 17x9 for the back and a little one on a 15x8 for the front... I was thinking in the area of a 305/60R17 for the back and 235/65R15 for the front...the problem is finding the sizes in the same brand and type of tire.....

I would really love to see what this would look like...

All the help is greatly appreciated

You answered you own request w/that final statement. That 305/60/17 would be better suited for a 10" wheel. 275's on 9" wheels look square @ the shoulder, the 305's would definitely look pinched. Finding decent matching rubber w/those drastically different sizes will be quite the challange.

Who makes the 305/60/17? Perhaps they have a different line of tires that you could find the front size you seek? At least that way your using the same brand.... just maybe not exact matching treads.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
